Sunday Social Runs / Event Training

You’ll find us out almost every Sunday meeting up for social group runs either taking in Richmond Park or heading out along the Thames from Putney or Battersea for some scenic river runs.

These runs not only provide a great chance to get to know other group members but also a perfect opportunity to put distance in the legs for upcoming challenges and events you may be working towards.

Obviously in regards to running fitness you need to combine the upbeat speed and strength work we do during the week with one slow long run building towards race distance as we do on Sundays. We generally have 2 key times of year with the early season 10ks and halves building up to the April marathons and of course after summer working towards Autumn marathon and half marathon season.

So whether you are training for the marathon London in April, your first 10k in July,  Royal Parks Half or Run to the Beat in Autumn as well as any other events get down and join us on Sundays with other members in the same boat whereby we’ll ensure you get the distance in your legs and the miles required to accompany the fitness work done in the week.

Please note the Sunday group runs take on the form of the classic running club session whereby we head out over a certain distance / route. Whilst we accept all levels in regards to pace it is recommended that you can run at least 6-8km before attending.

If not we recommend first attending our coached fitness and conditioning sessions from Monday – Saturday which can accommodate all levels and are better suited for those starting out.
